Course of Study
Green Valley Central School follows the CBSE syllabus, the most popular and preferred curriculum by most students in Tamil Nadu. This syllabus, which was revised based on NEP, is found to have a higher standard than other curriculums and is tailored to meet career goals and achievements of students in any field of study.
Special Electives
Hands on exploratory learning and working in teams is encouraged and followed.
Digital aid, images, videos, smart board and ICT are used to make teaching and learning effective and fruitful.
Students are equipped for the future with skills to adapt to changes and uncertainties by exposing them to unlimited possibilities outside of text books.
- Field Study: Exposure learning trips are a part and parcel of Green Valley for students from Pre-Primary to grade XII to impart life lessons.
- Supplementary Education: Preparatory programs are available for NEET, IIT and JEE for students from grade IX – XII.

Homework
Developing regular study habits is an important part of the educational philosophy of the school. The amount of homework is systematically increased as a student progresses from one level to the next.
Parents are requested to provide suitable study conditions. Students are required to use their school diary to record all homework, work requirement, and assessment and task submission dates. The results of students are often affected by the failure to submit assessment tasks by the due date.
Reporting
There are three types of reports issued by the school: An Interim Report will be given to students early Term and late Term. Special reports are issued when parents and teachers indicate concern about the performance of a student.
After School Program: Coaching in Lawn Tennis, Skating, Chess, Music, Dance, Karate, Archery, Silambam, Gymnastics and band are provided for interested children.
Special Programs: Student Council, Living History Programs, Celebration of important days are programs aimed to broaden the horizon of students.
Assessment
Regular testing and continuous assessment are integral parts of every subject taught. Promotion from one level to the next depends in all cases upon the attainment of a satisfactory standard.
